Thanksgiving has come and gone for another year. It was wonderful to see all the family. Everyone is doing well. Gabby and Allayna were at Ma's til yesterday. Nick and I got the shop cleaned out and part of the house clean. It is hard for me as I get tired very quickly but we will get there. Daddy and Josh are trying to get the combines in the field to pick beans but the machine nor the weather will cooperate. Nick had a good day with calls as I have found that people will sweat but they do not want to be cold. OK, I would rather be cold than hot but what ever. All the dogs are doing well. Still sassy. Getting ready to get my christmas tree up this week and then put up Ma's air blown emporium. Got to get it just right as the children love it. Did not do it last year, must get back to tradition. Hope that all is well.

Well, I am on Day 3 of isolation. Bored and feeling like crap. This sucks, I have a sore throat, headache, feel sick and hurt all over. If I did not know better, I would think that it is the flu. The nurse from the dr. office just called and checked on me and she said that it all sounds normal. Nothing new really. I had to chase the dogs down this morning as Max has learned to push my back door open. Dumb Dog. Nick is working and Josh and Daddy are working the combine. Here we go again with this. It seems that is all Daddy ever does. WWork on teh combine. I am watching the news, is there any good news ever?? Gabby and Allayna are back at school and Layna is one year older. Oh, to be 4 years old again and have no worries. That would be great for a bit. Must run and get me some lunch. Peanut butter and bread. What fun. At least it is not fruit. LYMI!

It has been has been a very long time since I updated this blog. I am sorry. Seems that not having the internet in my house makes me lazy on keeping you all up to date. Well, Nick has me set up with a black berry and while I can not use the phone part, I got on the internet and that is what is important. Let's get to updating. Allayna will be 4 on Sunday November 15, 2009. Her party is tomorrow. Should be fun. Daddy will be older than that on November 18th. Not sure about his party. I would say that at best, it will be held on an International Harvester. Nick is doing very well with the business. Josh made Lt and loves it . Abby is still working hard for the doctors. I am still working in Phyical Therapy and Keri works in our Ramsey St. office. Let's make it a family affair. I went this morning and took the radioactive idoine to kill my thyroid and try to get my Graves Disease under control. I feel ok but have a terrible headache. At least, I am not vomiting. Nick and Daddy have headed to Lumberton to get some food and other things that I need. We have satelitte in my little room and internet, my cell phone. I can not be near anyone or my dogs. Should be a long week but I will be ok. Let's just pray that this works. I love you all! Hope to see you soon. Best Wishes.

It has been a very long time since I updated this blog. Let's start with wishing Gabby a Happy birthday on the 11th, Poochie on the 14th, and Lynette on the 15th. Not too much is going on. Nick and I have gotten moved in and everything is getting put away as I have time. Justin has been a very big help and thank God for that. Keri had her tonsils out and is doing well. Josh is chilling today and fighting fire on Monday. Howard is just being lazy today and off the fire department tomorrow. Gabs and Allayna are dressed for dancing. Should be a fun evening.

It has been a while since last update. Not really that much is going on. The house is coming along and hope to be in it by the weekend. We will see. Josh had his interview for the Lt. position with FFD today and feels that it went really well. Keri is liking her new job. We had a small family reunion at work this morning as Nick had to have his wrist checked. He has MERSA. Wow. It is the same wrist that he burned. Ugh, will we ever get him well. Ma is addicted to facebook farming as are alot of other family members. I went to seen an endo yesterday and he told me that I have Grave's disease. Now, to make all the decisions that must me made. Work is work. The girls are doing really well. Layna spent most of the weekend here and Gabs was with her mother. Just a little bit going on I guess. Oh, the dogs are still old and stubborn. I took Max to my house the other day and he was not to happy about getting in the car and then we got there and it was hot, so he sniffed around for a minute as was ready to come back to the A/C. What would the dog do, if he had to lead a real dog life. Nick is off to Lowes for more PVC. Justin and Rooster and doing something down at the house while they wait for Nick to get back. Pray for a good week. LYMI!

Monday, July 20, 2009

Hello all. Well, the house is in place just waiting on a well and power. Nick's arm and face are healing nicely. Must say a very big THANK YOU to our friend Justin. He has been Nick's hands all week. We are getting some things moved. Not a lot but little by little. Today was a very long day at work but what day is not. The dogs are not too sure that they want to move. I hate to break the news to them, no choice. They are mine and I am taking them. Although, Ginny said that I am going to have a custody battle on my hands. We will see, I can not say that she will not know what she is getting into, she knows these old stubborn boys and still likes them. She is crazy. Gabs and Layna very much like running around my house at this point. Daddy's toy had to go back, so sad. However, that Tonka toy saved us alot of hassle as Daddy was able to get the truck out every time they got stuck bringing in the house. Ma is on her puter. Keri started her new job today. Now, everyone but Ginny is back to a job, we are working on getting her one though. Howard is playing fireman today. No telling what Josh is up to. I am going to take something for my headache and chill til Nick gets home. LYMI!

Well... I went to work this morning and got started, then decided that I wanted Nick go to the dr. He agreed interestingly enough. So, he met me at the office and we went to Urgent Care, they were none to pleased to have a burn walk in. Just what exactly would they like, all the ear infections sitting in the ER? Anyway, they sent us to the burn clinic at Cape Fear Valley. Who told us they do not take walk ins (what people plan to get burned around here), so they called HighSmith and they could see him at 11:30. We went in with no problems and the girls looked at his arm and went to work. They pulled all off of the burnt skin to reveal very healthy looking tissue (much to my surprise and relief). Then they were rubbing it down and I could tell that it was hurting Nick pretty bad, good thing he had taken his pain med. They redressed it and told him to come in on Wednesday for some more wound care. His face is very dry but the skin that is coming off has healthy tissue underneath. That is great. Josh is trying to run the bulldozer in the rain. Keri went to a job interview this afternoon. Say a prayer for her. Ma is at work. Daddy is at the fire station and I am "looking after Nick". Just another day in Ammon. LYMI

Saturday, July 11, 2009

It has been an interesting couple of days. Thursday, Gregory Poole delivered a bulldozer and Howard was very excited to get home friday morning and run it. He and Nick had a small pile ready to burn and put 1/4 gas to 3/4 diesel and lite it, well, some of the fumes were still in the air and it burnt Nick on the right side of the face and right arm and hand. Could have been a lot worse but his face just looks like a really bad sunburn, the arm however is all blistered up and hurts. Daddy continued on the dozer and got the whole lot cleared. Now the clean up starts in the morning, when he gets home. Nobody else knows how to run it. Ma, Keri, Ginny, Steve, Nick, and I went and packed up the contents of the singlewide and brought most of what I thought would not make the trip well home with us. It should be here on tuesday and then getting everything hooked up will take about another 2 weeks. I am getting excited. Keri and I are going to get our toes looking good for a baseball game tonight. Steve and Denise got me a video camera for my birthday, as soon as I figure it out, I will get video on here. Keep Nick in your prayers. LYMI

Wednesday, July 8, 2009

Hello all! Been a long week so far but not all that bad. Nick's Granny came home yesterday and we went to see her last night. She is doing ok. Seems that Howard blew up my time line and we should have a bulldozer here Friday morning. Ok, it is costing an arm and a leg but hey, it will be worth it. That means, that the house should be here on Tuesday of next week. I can hardly wait. Nick is on his way back from the beach. Several calls today! That is great. Rooster went down with him. Hope they got some work done. Not sure what Josh and Keri are up to today but I am sure we will find out. Sorry to hear about the drama at Penny's over the weekend. Keep praying for Jeremy's friend. Had to have my car fixed, good thing that my friend Justin is a mechanic, he did a great job and I am no longer required to drive the beast. Not Daddy's beast but mine. It has all the requirements but you must have a 5 acre field to turn it around. LOL!! Girls are doing well. I have not heard much from them this week. Dogs are still old and stubborn. I think we may have to leave Hank with Ma, he does not seem to be too happy about move talk. He will ignore for a while after I tell him that we are going to move. Who knows what he is thinking. Max and Dingo will make the long 100 yard trech with me. Spoiled asses. Not too much more to tell. LYMI!

Saturday, July 4, 2009

Happy 4th of July everyone. Today has been very nice. Nick and I went to the ville and looked at washer and dryers. This evening, Nick, Ma, and I went to White lake and watched the fireworks. Last night, Nick and I were at Topsail working and saw the ones down there. The ones at Topsail were much better. Josh, Keri and the girls have gone to party at Nick and Samantha's. Howard is at the fire dept. I used to hate working the 4th, you get all the boring people calling 911 about the fun people having parties and setting off fireworks. Better him than me. We finally found Gabby a bedding set by LittleMissMatched yesterday in Raleigh. took me all day. Nick and I went by and signed all the paperwork for the house to be delivered, one problem is that Daddy has to find a bulldozer to get the land cleared and the driveway done. I am sure that he will get it done, in his time, not mine. All the dogs are just laying around sleeping. We have bought a few things for the house but not much. No where to store anything right now. We will get it done though. Work is work and that is all I am going to say about that. Getting late and I am in the middle of a really good book, so I am going to get back to that. Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th. LYMI!

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Wow, June has come and gone. What happened. This summer is flying by. We had a really nice day here today. Hot but not too humid. Nick has made 2 trips to the beach today for calls. That is great. We got the results of out perk test and they were good, so now, Howard must go back to his roots and find a bulldozer and get the land cleared. I am going the cheap route, so it may be next June before it gets done but seems these things are pricey, so I will stick with Daddy, he is free. Just gotta find time and the dozer. Once that is done, they can bring the house and set it up. Have a lot to do to get ready. Josh has been sick and then burnt his hand yesterday but I think that he is feeling better. That is great. Keri has been very busy cleaning around here. Allayna and Gabby are doing very well. They can never decide where they want to sleep on the weekends. Such hard choices in life. All the pups are doing very well. Just old and stubborn. Very behind on the email thing but I will get caught up. Maybe with the three day weekend. Who knows. Might be clearing land, cross your fingers. LYMI

Saturday, June 27, 2009

It is saturday and has been a really hot day but hey, it is almost July right. I spent the morning cleaning out the pool. No, not bees, Josh mowed the grass and blew the crap all in the pool. I will have Nick to teach him the proper way to do this. The girls are loving the pool and learning to swim without floaties. We finally got the stove back into place today. That is great. Nick and I went and did a little shopping in fayetteville. Josh is off working on the sprayer that Daddy broke yesterday. Daddy is at the fire dept. No sure where Keri is off too. Getting ready to eat dinner and then go with Nick to call in Surf City. We seem to be down there at least once a week and that is really good for the business. LYMI

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Nothing fun going to here today. Worked and now I am tired. Nick has been busy all day too. Thank God. Gabby and Allayna now share a room at Josh and Keri's and the other room is the playroom. Gabby is very excited to have her own bed and the bedding should be here some time this week. Marty seems to be very busy on the house and that makes me very happy. That house has a lot of memories and I know that we will make many more there soon. I am told that Granny Frances is now depressed, so keep praying. Not sure what everyone is up to at this point. Nick just got home. The dogs are not at all happy that they can not go in the kitchen when they want to. I do not want them on the new floor. I hope that all is going to be boring tomorrow too. Makes my life a little easier. Gotta run. LYMI!

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

It has been a while since I last updated.Let's start by wishing Ma a Happy birthday yesterday. Seems I am always a day late. Today is tuesday. Saturday was spent putting new flooring in the kitchen. Not too bad a job and it looks great. Josh, Nick, Keri, and I got everything out and then put down the new floor. It took us about 7 hours of hard work but we got it done. Keri and Josh went to a party that night to celebrate her birthday and Nick and I went to bed. Ma and the girls played in the pool. Sunday was spent going to church and then having lunch at Richard and Patricia's and then came home with the intent to get all the molding finished. That did not happen, Keri and I went shopping for some rugs and other things that we needed while Josh and Nick were suppose to work, got home to find that Josh had gotten in the pool and Nick was watching tv. So we decided to play with Josh's father's day gift, Guitar Hero world tour for the Wii. Keri and I were on vocals, thought we knew alot of songs, turns out we knows alot of the wrong lines in songs. LOL! Josh started on the drums and then moved to the guitar. We got booed off stage several times. It was fun. Monday came way too fast and I had to return to work. Just another day! Karen, Jill and I took Ma to lunch for her birthday at the Drug store, then back to work for round 2. We then met Grandmother Amelia at Cracker Barrell for dinner. Let's see, it was Nick and I, Keri and Josh, Allayna and Gabby, Grandmother, Denise, and Ma and Daddy. We had a great time. We then came home and Josh decides that he is going to finish the molding, needless to say, you are not going to sleep with with a hammer being used. So we started looking on the internet for Gabby a bedding set by LittleMissMatched. We found one and bought it. Keri went today and got her a bed for over at their house and we just finished putting it together and getting everything moved. I am now at home for a little r and r. Nick worked all day at the beach and did not have such a great day but hey, that is why they call it work. Josh and Henry farmed all day while Daddy relaxed at the fire department. I was suppose to go to a meeting myself but skipped out to get Gabs' bed done. Everyone is very excited that Gabby has a new bed at Daddy's and wants to stay there. This situation is working out wonderfully. God bless. Been an okay week so far. We update more soon. LYMI

Friday, June 19, 2009

Good Afternoon, sorry to have updated lately but it has been a full week around here. Working all day and then teaching bible school. Keri and I taught the 3 and 4 yoa class. We have had a ball. Although, I am not sure that the kids remember all of our lessons as much as to get the surprise at the end of the night. They have been very entertaining for the both of us. Let start with family news, by wishing Keri as very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Her birthday was yesterday. Our class threw her a surprise party. Ok the kids were surprised too but whatever, we had fun. Howard is still picking wheat, and fixing what he breaks in the process. Josh is playing fire fighter today. In the morning, we start to put the new floor in the kitchen. Hope that it goes well. Granny Frances is doing about the same. I got a surprise visit from my friend Becky who has breast cancer, she looks really good and feeling better. Her chemo and 1st surgery are behind her and she is doing very well. Nick is staying busy with the business. Ma and I continue to work, work, work. Getting ready to go to our last night of bible school and then home to rest up. Hope that all is well. LYMI

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Well, today is sunday and the end of the weekend. That sucks. We got up this morning and went to church, then Josh, Keri, NIck and I went to Fayetteville and bought some Mokaw flooring to put in Ma's kitchen. We then came back and prepared for bible school. Keri and I are teaching the preschool class. We have 3 girls and a boy. They are too funny. We talked about Gideon and then went to find a mountain. Got to keep them entertained some how. Gabby got to come and then we have some friends of ours 2 kids. It has been a nice weekend. Yesterday, Nick and I went and looked at singlewides and actually found one that we liked, we are waiting to hear from the dealer. We will see. If we get it, we will put it behind Ma and Daddy. Oh, speaking of Howard, he had a crappy day yesterday. The big combine broke and he did not have the part, so he went to get the little combine to finsih what he was doing and in moving it, ran over where the state is doing some road work and broke the rear axle from under it. He was stuck in the middle of the road for 2 hours and then the SHP showed up and he asked if the state would pay for the damage, the trooper responded with do you see the asphalt over there, you did that and they will make you pay for that. He said ok. My guess is insurance will be contacted next. We will see. Josh and Ma are on face book, Allyna is in the floor playing with Barbie, Nick has gone to the beach on a call, Daddy is fire fighting. Granny Frances has been moved back to skilled nursing. Keep praying. Oh yea, add to your prayer list Tori, she goes to our church and had to have surgery yesterday. BE GOOD or BE GOOD at it. LYMI

Friday, June 12, 2009

Today was very hot here. Ma and I worked this morning and then went shopping for a bit, then came home. Needless to say, the pool needed my attention. You guessed it, the bees. About 40 million on the bottom. Sucked them up in the vac. Dumb creatures. Then Allayna and Keri came over, so we all went swimming. Nick dunked Allayna and she was not too happy. Later we had a chicken fight. Allayna on my shoulders and Keri on Josh's. Needless to say, Allayna won every round. Then, Allayna was playing with Nick and accidently hit him in the nose, and well, it started to bleed. Will teach him to dunk her. I have come into the house due to a headache. Josh, Keri and Nick are still in the pool. They decided to order food from Parker's Pizza. The only place that will deliver out here. Let's see what the delivery guy thinks when he shows up and they are in the pool. Gabby is at her Mom's but Josh says she is coming over tomorrow. We will play in the pool again. Until then... LYMI!

Thursday, June 11, 2009

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Koltlyn! Man to be 5 and have no worries. Nick just left to take another call. Have a washcloth stuck in the drain of the bathtub and Nick says he is too big to get under the house to fix it. Josh sure as the hell will not go under there due to the threat of snake and I am not going under there due the threat of snakes and spiders. So, we wait until Saturday when Henry can get under there to fix it. It drains, just very slowly. I am so glad that today is Thursday and this week is almost gone. It really sucks going back to work after time off. Howard has started picking wheat. What happened to spring. I am now on facebook. All this social networking will wear you out. Josh just pulled in, maybe he will give me back my parking place. I am sick of parking by the side of the house. Shows how lazy I am, I do not like the 10 steps that was added to my walk in the morning. I barely get up on time as it is, do not add 5 seconds to my mornings. Oh, for those of you who do not know, I am not a moring person and you want to know the crazy part, I have to be a work at 7:00. What was I thinking. Josh has a headlight out on the 97 Ford. Guess I should go tell him. LYMI

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Let me see, not much going on in Ammon. Ma and I went by the hospital tonight to visit Larry. He is doing much better and will go home in the morning. Nick's Granny has been moved back to skilled nursing. Keep praying. Also add to your list, my friend Michelle's husband. He is also in the hospital. Man, when it rains it pours. Howard is farming somewhere. I know that Josh has been here today, the jerk took my parking place. Not sure what everyone else is up too. Nick just got home from a call. Business is steady. I hated to see our week at the beach end but there will always be next year. Busy day at work and I am tired. Gotta run. LYMI

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

My first day back at work was not as bad as I thought it would be. Same old same old. Always some drama somewhere but it like with children, pick your battles. Nick was not busy at all today, but we did get his business cards, which is a great relief to me, as I do not have to print any more for a long while. Seems that everyone is back to the same old stuff. Life just keeps going. Hope that you all are having a good week! LYMI

Monday, June 8, 2009

Ari and Avalon watch as Josh plays tug boat for the barge. Rooster abandoned ship, Keri and Nick are along for the ride.
Nick Keri Joshua Allayna enjoying the PARTY BARGE!!

Allayna laying out like me in my chair that she stole. Wow, I never give up my chair. She should feel honored!!

Josh and Avalon went boogie boarding.

Nick Josh and Keri went on a crab hunt. Nasty little creatures.

Allayna the beach babe waiting on us to get ready to go to the beach!

Nick, Joe, and Chris headed out for a day of fishing

Nick's trailer, no where near full

More to come, stay tuned!!
It has been a very busy day. I took all of the floats out and washed them down and packed them back up for next year. All of the chairs have been washed and put away. I still have to get to my suitcase but that will await. Allayna and Gabby both went back to daycare today. Ma and I cleaned out the pool. Still have the damn bees but they seem to go away when you are in there moving the water around. Anyone with ideas to get rid of them, let me know. I am sick of them. Now, Nick and I are headed to work on an A/C unit at his Granny Doris's and then to drop off something as his mom and dad's. The dogs are very glad for us to be home and things getting back to normal. Daddy drove in the driveway this morning but did not talk to any of us. Guess he thinks we are still gone. He will find us all soon enough. Josh is back to farming and Keri is at home chilling today. Back to work in the morning. I do not want to go back to real life. UGHHH!! Oh well. Just another day in Ammon. Oh yea, the fire department made the Bladen Journal with the pancake breakfast, sorry did not cut my vacation short for that. LYMI!!

Saturday, June 6, 2009

Our last day at the beach and we woke up and it is cold. Oh, today is also my 1 year anniversary. Can you believe it. We have had a wonderful time. Already talking about next year. I am sure that Ginny is ready for me to come home and get my bad boys. Although, I think that she gave them a bath last night. GO Ginny. Nick, Karen, Denise, Steve and I are just chilling on this chilly morning. Keri and Allayna are still sleeping. Josh has gone to help with the pancake breakfast at the fire dept. Who knows where Howard is. Let's just see what the day be holds. LYMI

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

We have had nothing but wonderful weather. This is just a few pics.

Monday, June 1, 2009

We made it to the beach and have enjoyed our first full day down here. Just wanted everyone to know. See ya all soon!

Saturday, May 30, 2009

Good evening. We have spent the whole day getting all the stuff together for the beach. I can take anything that I want. That is awesome. Before I forget, Good luck Madison, I know that you will do very well in the little Miss Autryville Paegant. Keri, Mom, and I have gotten everything that can do in the trailer there and set down to take a break, so I figured, hey why not update the blog. Not much is going on today. Howard is farming, the girls are watching tv and wanting to leave now to go to the beach. Nick has gone to town to pick up dinner, Keri is painting her toenails, Ma is on the puter and I am typing. Oh, and Josh is at the fire department. We went to see Nick's Granny last night and she is not looking too good. They have cut back her pain meds and she is saying that her stomach hurts. The wound vac looks really good, but her temp is up and she still will not eat regularly. Pray for her. Hope to see all the clan at the beach tomorrow. Can not wait. Will post pictures when I get back. LYMI!!!

Friday, May 29, 2009

Well, I am officially on vacation. That is great, no work until June 09, 2009!! Allayna and I just got back from daycare, she was ready to go to the beach then!! I had to explain that we have to wait 2 more days and then we will be there. Her response was I am not sure I can make it that long. I went to the dr. this morning and found out the I have Hashimoto's disease. That is a problem where my body starts to fight my thyroid and if untreated will eventually cause it to die. I am now on meds 3 times a day. What fun. Josh and Keri have gone to bladenboro and then back here with his truck. Nick is working right now but then we will go to the hospital to see his Granny, who is not doing any better and now refuses to eat. They have inserted a feeding tube but they really want her to start eating. Not sure what that is about, but we will see. Ginny is excited to be babysitting the boys for the week and Rooster will look after the girls. This is going to be a great week. Can hardly wait. Ready for some rest and relaxation and spending time with the family. Nick is just excited that Joe is bringing the boat. Hey, what about me??? Oh well, could be worse. Could be like Howard who never takes a vacation. Speaking of Howard, who knows where he is. Oh, Ma just said that he is at the fire dept. Resting, I am sure. Ma is working on the computer and then we will all get ready for the trip. Guess I better go throw some clothes in a bag. LYMI!

Thursday, May 28, 2009

We just got back from graduation. It was great. Gabs did really well. Let's see, we had Nick, Rooster, Allayna, Keri, Josh, Patricia, Emily, Me, Abby, Denise and Steve. She had like 2 rows of people. She was not very happy about having to go home with her mom but that is life. Seems that Howard forgot about it, story of my life. Anyway, not much else went on today. Enjoy the pics.

First and for most, I woke up thinking that today was Thursday. Damn, it sucked when Ma told me that it was only Wednesday. So, that means, 3 days and I will be on R and R!! Joshua fixed my bumper last night before I had time to take any pics. Guess, it comes in handy to have a brother in the automotive field. Looks as good as new. Nick and Rooster got back into town about 5:00, seeing as they had to get me from work, that was a really good thing. Ma and I rode in together this morning and Nick got me home. Daddy's red truck is back in the shop, why does that not surprise me. A truck can only take so much. Gabby graduates tommorrow at 6:00pm. Where do the years go? Kinda tired today. Gonna run. LYMI

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

The day actually started out great, I got up on time and was early for work. That is always good on the day after a holiday. We in and one of my co workers came in and just looked like she was in pain. She has a cyst on her hip. So, she calls her dr and goes to see her at 10:15. The dr gave her an antibiotic and some pain meds and told her to come back on Thursday. I am no dr. but I felt that was not a good idea, so I asked on of you PA's to look at it around 1:00. In the mean time, I went to lunch. So idiot backed into me in the McDonald's parking lot and as many of you know, if it is raining in Fayetteville, there are wrecks everywhere. Needless to say, it was raining and my little bump up was very low on the list. Finally this idiot and his passengers were getting loud and stupid, so I called back to 911 and told them they were getting hostile. Still no cop, so I called a friend of mine and he told me that someone would be there shortly and to lock my self in my car, as he was across town. Finally, the idiot leaves the scene. I call back to 911 and give them the description of the car and driver and then the damn CCI shows up. Who knew. Any way, I have a large dent in my bumper and the dumbass is no where to be found. That took my whole lunch hour and then I go back to the office in a hurry, so Rose can get to her appointment. She was gone for a long time, so I went to check on her. Sure enough, she has a bad infection. Our PA i and d'd it and took a culture to send to the lab, packed it and she came back to work. Then, almost passed out, so I sent her home. UGHHHHHH!! As days go, this was not the best but it could have been my life, not just my care, no harm, no fowl. Only 4 days and I will be sitting in the surf with a good book. Already started the list and packing. TOO COOL, I am ahead of the game. Just spoke to Nick, he is just about in Tn. on the way back. He is happy, got his trailer and now has agreed to let me bring the whole house. Whatever. See most of you soon. LYMI!!

Nick is off to Arkansas to get his trailer. Ma and I are just chilling. Took a ride to Topsail this morning to get Gabby a pair of flip flops. Josh is working and who knows what Daddy is up to. Washing some clothes to get ready for the beach. Going to make a list now of what I need to pack to make sure that it is all there. Nothing much else going on. This week is going to be short and that is going to be great. Gabby graduates on the Thursday night. Then, we will be off to the beach on Sunday. Ginny is going to watch my dogs for me as she thinks that putting them in the kennels is like going to jail and they should not have to suffer that. Whatever, they are spoiled brats. See ya soon.

First, let's start by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Aunt Penny. Ok, the day started with getting up and getting ready to ride to Thomasville for a surprise birthday party. We go to get in the truck and Allayna discovers her new car seat and says "I am a big girl now!" Guess she likes it. We made it to Penny's with no big problems, new concept. We surprised her! That was awesome. Anyway, it rained a little but then the sun came out and it was nice. We sat under the carport and talked and enjoyed the day. On the drive home, I discovered that Allayna had been waiting all day for it to get dark, so she could turn her lights on on her carseat! Man, to have such simple pleasures. Anyway, we are home now! Nick, Rooster, and Daddy have gone to get something to eat, they should have been with us today and they could have gotten some really good food. Their loss my gain! Hang out with my family long and I would weigh like 800 pounds. Thanks for all the good cooking. The dogs are all glad that we are home. Now, Gabby and Allayna are play the princess game on the Wii and I am watching a item on ebay. Again, Happy Birthday Penny. We love you!! May you have many many more. LYMI

Saturday, May 23, 2009

Hello all! Let's see. Today started off well, we cut the grass, cleaned out the pool of bees again!, took off the trash, and the kids played. Keri, Allayna, and Gabby went to a birthday party for Taylor. Nick and I went shopping. Got Allayna a new car seat, that is just like Gabby's. It has task lights! What will they think of next. I am glad that they are both big enough to use just the seat belt with a booster. Makes my life easier, they can get out all by themselves. Josh is playing fire fighter and Daddy is off farming. We are getting our things ready for the beach. Seems that we own alot of beach towels. Some are really old. Some are new. Gabby now has clothes, Ma and I went to Kohls and got them yesterday. Not too much news on any other front. Granny Frances is doing about the same. Only prayers will work now. I am going to finish cleaning out my truck and getting some more floats inflated to make sure they all work for the big trip. Told Nick, he is going to have to pull the trailer down, he is not too happy but I must take the whole house. Ok, I will leave the Kitchen sink. We are off to Greensboro tomorrow. Maybe on Monday, I will finish all that I have started. Who knows. All around is still going strong. Thank GOODNESS! LYMI

Thursday, May 21, 2009

Well, good news on the home front. Granny Frances has been moved to the skilled nursing unit. Hey, that is a step up. Been a long day for me, did finally get some help at work and that is a good thing. Josh is playing fireman. Nick has worked all day and not sure what Keri and Allayna are up to. I am soo glad that tomorrow is friday. Not only that but it is a long weekend. Let's hope that it does not fly by. I really need to go clean out the pool but I will get that later. I am too tired right now. Had to get up early this morning and go in for a thyroid uptake. No results yet, I have to finish it at 6:30 in the morning. My bloodwork came back jacked up. Seems that my thyroid has gone crazy. Hell, it just followed the rest of me. I had to go in this morning and take the "pill". It is radioactive. Nick asked if I was going to glow. WHO KNOWS, maybe. Pray for everyone who needs it, even if you do not know the need. Keep strong Colleen. I am here for ya. LYMI

Well, May is half over and that means that it should be getting hot but not here, it is cool and rainy out. Nothing much going on. Worked all day. Boring. Nick worked and went to the dr. with me and then worked some more. WOW! Ab is on jury duty. Glad it is not me. Daddy is playing fireman. Josh Keri and Allayna have gone to a birthday party. Think that I am going to go veg with book. Told you that Ammon can be ever so boring but then all of the sudden wow, something happens. Nick just told me that he is going to pick up his trailer next week. He will have to drive to Arkansas to get it. No, I will not be riding. His truck rides worth a shit. Thanks Steve, I know that he really appreciates all of your help in his business. He needs it. LYMI!

Well, we now own a WII and good gracious, Wii Fit is not joke. My fitness age is 48! Wow, what happened. I have terrible balance and my BMI is normal but could be better. I tried the Julian Ultimate body workout. Good GOD!! THat woman is no joke. Now, I feel like I am 100! Who knew. Now, I feel sorry for those pople on the biggest loser, she really is a B****. Everyone is just chilling tonight. Nick is cooking dinner. I am playing on the puter. What a fun Saturday night. Waiting on the Beach. Oh yea, I sent an email that Gabby graduation is on the 27, I was wrong, it is on the 28th. Sorry. LYMI

Well, now we have honey bees in the pool. I would think that they were smart enough to see their friends at the bottom and not go in but noooooo, they feel they must get water and the only way is to dive in and then they drown. Wow, and I thought they were smart at making honey and flowers. Boy, was I ever wrong. Got a WII today and Gabby is hounding me to hook it up. I told her that she would have to clean her room first, bought me about 5 minutes. Nothing really going on this weekend. The lake is having Water Fest, so that means stay away from the lake and elizabethtown, if you have any sense. Girls wanted to play outside but our uninvited guests (bees) are in the play house too and Daddy just pissed the bee off by trying to kill it, so they decided to come back in the house. Nick is off on a call and Josh and Keri are in Clinton doing who knows what at this point. I am going to go attempt to hook up this game, so they will leave me alone. LYMI

Been a really long day. Daddy's foot is now in a boot, up from the freaky looking tennis shoes! Thank goodness. Nick got another job at Oak Island for putting in a unit! You go All Around Heating & Air! Josh is at the fire station working. Nick and I are about to leave for the hospital. Granny Frances told us last night to have Lee (Nick's uncle) bring his truck and take her home. Good sign. I am soo tired. Work in the mornings is nuts. Tomorrow we can wear purple for peace! That should be fun. No big plans for weekend. My friend Becky is doing very well! Praise God for that. Keep fighting girl. Only a couple of weeks and we will be at the beach. Hard to believe that another year is almost gone. Hope that my wish come true and Shantel can be there with me for some of the time. LYMI

Another long day at work but hopefully we will have some help on Monday. GREAT!! Daddy's foot is feeling better today. He went and got him a new pair of boots and got rid of the ones with the chemical on them. Everyone is in the kitchen eating dinner and then Nick and I are off to the hospital. Granny Frances is doing better; which is great! Nick and Keri worked in Wilmington all day. They found a snake under the unit that they were replacing. Just made me realize, I will keep my office job. I would have had a heartache if I had found it. Worst I deal with is a mouse every so often. Getting ready for a week of rest and relaxation on the beach. May 31st can not get here fast enough. Gotta roll. LYMI!

Well, it has been a long day. WORK WORK WORK. does it ever end. Daddy's foot does not look any better today. Nasty blister popped and finally he is going to let us dress it. WOW! Guess the pain is getting to him. He is wearing Chuck Taylor (converse) white tennis shoes that were bought around 1990! Damn, they look better than some I bought a month ago. LOL!! He never wears tennis shoes. This is funny. Nick is still busy, which is a really good thing. Max is mad because it has gotten chilly again and he hates the cold. Allayna was here last nigth and you would have thought that she was gone forever. I came in and she told me "finally you are home". Poor kid! Granny Frances is doing some better. She is still in ICU and will have a really long road ahead of her. Yesterday was Granny's birthday. I think that I will miss her forever. I have a meeting at the fire department in a little bit, so I better run. LYMI!

Monday, May 11, 2009

Today has been very tiring but we have great news. Granny Frances is off the vent and asked if she could have some real food. That is awesome. Josh got another disk and he is working on that. Will update you more later. LYMI!

Happy Mother's Day! Been a long day here. Just got back from the hospital, NO change really. Had to give her some blood due to low counts. Gabs is with her mother, not sure what Keri and Allayna are up. Josh is playing firefighter. I am going to take something for my headache and lay down. Hope you all have a nice day. LYMI

Saturday, May 9, 2009

Very busy week around here. Nick and I have spent alot of time at the hospital. His Granny had to have emergency surgery on Wednesday night due to a bowel obstruction that had created and before they could do surgery it ruptured and filled her abdominal cavity and part of her chest cavity with fecal matter, it also created a hole in her colon about the size of a baseball and now she has a bag. She is in ICU for the time being and we are praying.

The girls got in the pool today for the first time and LOVED it. They are so very glad that is summer. ME too, I guess.

I spent most of today in Fayetteville buying gifts for Mothers Day.
Ma got her today as Gabby with be with her mother tomorrow.

My intellegent father got insectacide on his foot and now has a burn on the top of it. Here is the call that I got. I think I burnt my foot. I told him to take the boot and sock off. He said that he did but the sun hurt it so he put them back on. I said where are you. He said in the field on a tractor. Several more questions in sued and I got irritated. Finally, I told him to call Keri and have her bring clean socks and some meds and something to cover the burn. His call to her was for clean socks. Lord help me. Any way, now he has a large blister on the top of his foot and toes. He called the manufacture and they had their Dr. call him back who told him to throw the boots away. Who knows if he did this or not and I am not asking or I am sure that I will use alot of curse words with the answer.

Well, just another day in the life of a farm and heating and a/c family. Better run.

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Well, Gabby is ready for kindergarten! Got everything that she needs. Wonderful! Man, they grow up fast. Hard to believe that Allayna will be just 1 year behind her too! Nothing very interesting happened today. Sorry, Ammon has become kind of boring for the moment, oh but just give us 10 minutes and I am sure something will come up! LOL!

Monday, May 4, 2009

Just got home from work and no one is around, now that is different. Thought that we were going to walk but it is getting dark and do not want to get run over, so maybe tomorrow. Nothing big going on right now. Nick just came in and made the dogs happy, they get to go out, I was too lazy and they do not listen to me anymore, how quickly they forget that I am the one who remembers to buy dog food. Ab is feeling better. Now, off to find a good book for a few then to bed!

sunday in ammon

Well, we made it to Sunday already. The weekends go by so fast. Let's see what we have been up to? yesterday, we started to clean up the pool and found that it had a rip in the liner. Needless to say, that would not work, so off to Sam's we go to buy a new pool and put it together. The instructions said not to put it together with your spouse, well Keri and I broke rule #1. Seeing as we have put ones together in the past, we jumped right in. When we had it up and ready for water, Nick and Josh got the fire truck and brought us lots of water. We are not quite full but it is ready to swim in, all be it cold as Christmas, right now. Ab is sick with a cold. What fun. Howard spent this morning working on his beloved '91 Ford Bronco, to get her back on the road. Seems to be working out. I bought the truck and he got it for free. That is what family is for. I am really not liking it any more, no auto headlights, no moving pedals, not a very good radio, GAS guzzlers. I guess, I can thank Red for what I now find important in a car/truck. Looks like Howard just got what I discarded. LOL! Now off to a lazy Sunday.

04-30-09

Just another day in paradise. Keri and Josh and Daddy finally got everything planted, so now we wait. Allayna is brushing her teeth for about the 10th time tonight. Nick has been busy busy busy!! I am working as always and then coming home and working with ALL AROUND. Just another day!!

just another day

Just another day in the ammon world. Keri and Josh farmed all day. I stayed with Nick's Grandparents. Let's see, Nick "Pa" is in a wheelchair from a stroke many years ago, and his "Granny" fell last thursday and broke the right wrist and the index finger on the left hand, lots of facial bruises and the such. Needless to say, no using her hands much. Nick however is doing well in the business. Let us know if you need A/C work. Got another job tonight. GREAT!! Bring it on. Howard is resting at the fire station, (as he says). The dogs are just laying around enjoying the cool house. Back to work in the morning. Hey, even Nick gets to get up early tomorrow. WOW!!

Sunday, April 26, 2009

Let's see what is going on in Ammon right now. Well, Josh, Keri and Daddy are very busy farming and would get a lot more done if they could keep the equipment running. Nick is off to his own business, ALL Around Heating & Air. So, that means, we are broke and in business, what more could I ask for. I am still working for Bruce and love every minute of it. Ma, is the same and still working for CFOC. Nick's Granny fell last thursday, going to be a long summer for all of us, but we will manage. That is what families do, we manage and survive. All is well on the home front. Gotta go, so I can get ready for bed for another day in the office tomorrow. What fun. Joshua, Keri, Nick, Steve, Denise, and I went to Lake Gaston about 2 weeks ago and we had a blast. Thanks Bruce.
